PAIN OF SALVATION To Preview New Material At Special Swedish Concerts
July 30, 2003Swedish progressive metal band PAIN OF SALVATION will preview material from their next album, "BE", at several special live shows in their home country in September. These concerts — to be held at Lokomotivet in Eskilstuna, Sweden on August 30, September 5, September 6, September 12, and September 13 — will most likely be the only chance of ever seeing this piece of work in its entirety and with its original instrumentation.
States PAIN OF SALVATION vocalist/guitarist Daniel Gildenlöw, "Apart from the band there will be nine orchestra musicians on stage, and Fredrik will play the grand piano and the harpsichord/cembalo — we are talking the real thing here, no synthesizers! We promise a very special experience with music styles colliding, video projections and a very intriguing concept revolving around the Story of Everything, gods and slaves..."
The studio version of "BE" will be released in the spring through Inside Out Music.
In other news, PAIN OF SALVATION performed a very special unplugged show on May 12, 2003 in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The concert was recorded for a radio broadcast and for an upcoming album, tentatively due in the fall.
